Well ... all the last minute preparations have been (almost) completed. It is now less than 50 minutes before we need to get in the Taxi and get to the airport.
There has been some last minute scrambling as Bernie decided (quick rightly I believe) that she had packed too much into her case. Having made the decision then came all the work associated with deciding what to unload ... to cut a long story short there is now a bag of Rebbechi possessions sitting in Dione's cupboard for collection upon our return.
Unless it seems to the reader that Bernie is the only one scrambling this morning, I should say that I had to take the tram into town this morning to purchase the train tickets from Paris to Amsterdam - all of that is now done and all that remains is for me to remember to change our departure time from Bordeaux to Paris otherwise we will not make the Paris-Amsterdam connection.
